EVENT: DFW Restaurant Week Announced August 11-17, 2014

If you've been around me for any length of time, you know that food is an huge part of my life.  I love reading about it, creating it, tasting it and the entire experience that is involved with the consumption of food.

One of my favorite local events is Restaurant Week.  It's a week long event of delicious fixed price menus that is held at restaurants city-wide benefiting The North Texas Food Bank and the Lena Pope Home.  Sponsored by Central Market with 125 restaurants, I find that there is something for everyone and usually there is a great mix of up and comers, everyday favorites and classic fine dining.

This year's event series is scheduled for August 11-17, 2014 and there are hopes to exceed the amazing contributions of $754,000 raised last year.
